JACOB June 2000-November 2013
Some dogs are majestic and noble, some are fiery and comical; some dogs are willful and independent, some are eager to please and are close. My friend Jacob, was all of these. The last puppy of his litter to be adopted, he survived his father and most of his litter mates, being unaffected by the tragic cardiomyopathy of Dobermans that was prevalent in his heritage. Although I abhor cropping, the decision of the breeder to crop Jacob’s ears and tail did not prevent me from giving him a wonderful home. He and I shared many joys and challenges, and his presence to me was always unconditional. I miss him still.
