End of life consultation and counselling
One of the most difficult and important decisions we make for our pets is to let them go when they no longer have quality of life. It is important for all people involved to take whatever time is needed to feel comfortable and confident with the process. Ongoing conversation can be helpful to overcome initial feelings of guilt and to reach an understanding that euthanasia is a loving gift.
Euthanasia
We want our pets to pass peacefully and without fear. Euthanasia in the home allows for families and friends to be present in familiar and comfortable surroundings at the end of their pets’ lives. Options for care of remains can be discussed and decided upon in advance. For some, home burial is possible and desirable; others choose cremation with or without the return of ashes.
Arrangements for cremation, transportation of the pet to the crematorium, and ashes when requested, are services that I provide. I utilize the crematorium Until We Meet Again (link below).
